Overview

PPS is seeking candidates for the role of Digital & Data Manager. In this role, you may start the day pulling a list of small businesses to invite to an event with the President, upload new stakeholder data to EveryAction over lunch, and end the day by writing an email to reach and encourage minority-business owners to apply for game-changing cash grants to help their business and their employees recover from Covid-19. You will join a fast-paced, supportive, and mission-driven team working to organize and activate employers and their employees for policy and market change. This position will oversee the organization’s CRM and support with digital outreach and engagement through email and other tactics. This is a remote position, though employees will have access to the organization's Washington, D.C., office.


Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management (approx. 70% of time)
  • Oversee data infrastructure for organization CRM and all organization data
  • Develop and manage data pipelines between various platforms and systems
  • Support organization’s outreach work by developing strategic lists and audiences for email and other forms of engagement
  • Lead regular reporting cadence on event attendance, email performance, and other metrics that help the organization optimize programs
  • Ensure data integrity, data standards, and security are adhered to across the organization


  • Digital Engagement (approx. 30% of time)
  • Write email and other digital copy, handle production, and develop email and digital content calendars to support organization’s outreach strategy
  • Manage online forms, automated workflows, and sourcing for online engagement
  • Develop strategies to increase digital engagement and event attendance
  • Ensure online forms adhere to company branding guidelines, data standards, and best practices


Qualifications

  • Experience with EveryAction, Votebuilder, or a similar CRM
  • Experience with digital engagement platforms such as Zoom & SurveyMonkey
  • Proven ability to think critically and strategically as it relates to data management, data storage, and long-term data strategy
  • Proven ability to read, analyze, and manipulate data in Excel
  • 1-2 years of experience managing data systems and email programs for a nonprofit, advocacy organization, or similar organization
  • Familiarity or experience with email programs & managing digital identities, websites, and online forms
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and HTML
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn both technical and non-technical skills
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines


Preferred

  • 1 year of experience with EveryAction, MailChimp, or similar email platforms
