Gissel Gazek Nicholas is an accomplished professional with over fifteen years of experience in corporate affairs and community relations, fundraising, implementing strategic initiatives and executing large-scale events at national business associations. 

As Chief of Staff of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), Gissel planned and directed the administrative and operational activities of the organization and coordinated the execution of key programmatic initiatives. She provided oversight and guidance on high-priority projects and played a pivotal role in the strategic planning of the organization encompassing both long and short-term goals.

Before joining the USHCC, Gissel worked in the international division of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (USCC) focusing on Free Trade Agreements in Latin America. While at the Chamber, Gissel’s primary focus was advocacy through micro level grassroots organizing of special interest groups both in the U.S. and in Latin America.

Prior to working at the Chamber, Gissel worked at the National Council of La Raza (now UnidosUS) where she honed her skills in corporate outreach and community relations to secure sponsorships for the organization’s annual conference in addition to raising awareness around the organization’s mission and key initiatives.

Gissel earned two graduate degrees at American University in Washington D.C. – a Master of Business Administration from the Kogod School of Business and Master of Arts in International Affairs at the School of International Service. Gissel is fluent in Spanish.
