Project Manager, Employer Engagement
Matthew Bigman is a PMP-certified PM and facilitator with 15 years of experience leading conversations and complex programs across DoD, federal research, academia, and the private sector. He has helped plan STEM outreach and evaluations, coordinated Industry days for Army STTR, facilitated deep discussions on national research and policy at the classified level, and built engaging and interactive outreach events for 100s of hands-on participants.
Matthew holds a unique dual Master's degree in System Dynamics and Business Administration earned through the Erasmus Mundus program across three universities — the University of Bergen in Norway, the University of Palermo in Italy, and Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands — as well as a Bachelor of Science in System Dynamics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
In addition to that international academic foundation, he holds a Top Secret clearance with a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Design Thinking training from MIT, shaping his approach to diagnosing organizational friction and building programs that actually work at scale. Matthew is a military spouse of ten years and a former U.S. Air Force Key Spouse, his family is now in Alexandria, Virginia, where he finds himself committed to being an avid metro commuter, despite the system's best efforts to dissuade him.
