  • Advise current clients on Opportunity Zones and impacting investing. 
  • Lead and support focused client development efforts. 
  • Maintain relationships through positive interactions and communication with clients, federal, state and local officials, philanthropic stakeholders, other organizations, institutions and funders.
  • Craft presentations, memos and summary reports to internal and external facing audiences.
  • Prepare deliverables and advise on design and content.
  • Ensure high level coordination within PPS and with clients to ensure timely delivery of information and political intelligence that is crucial to our clients success. 
  • Direct PPS team members in support of client work. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in urban studies, city planning, public policy, finance, economics, government, geography or a related field and five years related experience; an advanced degree may be substituted for experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and soft skills to interact with a wide variety of professionals
  • Ability to effectively self-direct on task assignments (with guidance), work independently and collaborate within a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and direction on research-related tasks, including leading data analysis and policy research.
  • Demonstrated organizational, work management, and group process skills, ability to take initiative to identify and propose new tasks and procedures.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, producing quality products within tight time constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on multiple priorities consecutively and sequentially and meeting quality standards for accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness.
  • Ability to review documents and summarize content, including developing and evaluating outcomes, lessons learned and best practices.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to proofread and edited for punctuation, grammar, spelling, and clarity.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad audience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence in the use of software applications: word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentation, web and email applications. Experience in gathering, managing, and analyzing data in geographic information systems (GIS) is desirable.
